This story begins with a birthday: North Dakota's 125th. In honor of North Dakota's landmark birthday, Kim helped organize a school-wide story sharing event with the writing prompt: "My North Dakota Story." At this same time, Erika was attending Kim's writing group (organized by the Red River Valley Writing Project) and was searching for a project idea for a Grant Writing Class. The two ideas merged, Angie joined the project, and a website was created for the dual purposes of providing a space for North Dakota stories can be shared AND where teachers and citizens can find inspiration and guidance for writing their own stories.
